COUNTY LINE

County Line is a new West Virginia based bluegrass band with four of the best young musicians in the business today. Though County Line is new, these musicians are certainly no strangers to bluegrass fans across the country. With a shared love of the music they have played all their lives, these musicians have formed a band that is both entertaining and talented.

Though he needs no introduction to bluegrass fans and promoters across the country, the band's guitar player and lead singer is Robert Hale. Robert calls McDowell County, West Virginia his home and began his musical career as a young child. At the age of 11, he appeared on the Grand Ole Opry as a guest of Mr. Bill Monroe. By the time he was 18 he was touring with The Reno Brothers and then J.D. Crowe. Fans will remember him as one of the founding members of the band Live Wire along with Scott Vestal. Robert's straight from the heart singing and excellent guitar playing certainly rank him as one of the best musicians on the circuit.

Adding his own unique style of banjo picking to the band is Will Parsons. Will began playing at the age of 10 in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Coming from a musical family and having spent some of his formative years as an employee at Joe Dobbs' Fret N' Fiddle prepared him for a life full of music. In addition to playing, he has spent the last 10 years as a mandolin builder and teacher. Most Bluegrass fans will recognize Will as the banjo picker on the "In My View" album by The Charlie Sizemore Band, whom he toured with for more than four years. He spent a short time with Barry Berrier and was one of the founding members of the Kentucky based band, "Strings Attached".

County Line's bass player grew up surrounded by the music of Doc Watson in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina. Shane Ingram moved from Boone to Berea, Kentucky where he met Will at Berea College and began a musical relationship that has lasted for over a decade. While at Berea, Shane won the prestigious Red Foley award for his talent and love of the music that he had played and sang all of his life. As a talented songwriter and singer Shane spent several years with Will in Strings Attached and later moved on to spend time with The Charlie Sizemore Band. Shane writes a good deal of original material and pulls his share of the vocal responsibility in the band.

Joining these other fine musicians and playing the mandolin is Darrell Webb. Darrell began his career as a young child with his Dad and sister. After playing with several bands, such as The Bluegrass Kinsmen and The Tim Laughlin Band, he stepped in to Dan Tyminsky's shoes with The Lonesome River Band. He went on from there to play with J.D. Crowe and then Barry Berrier. Darrell's musical accomplishments reach far beyond his young age of 24 years. He has just completed a recording project in Nashville called, "Website" that is sure to bring rave reviews from music critics throughout the Bluegrass World. Doing some lead and all of the tenor vocals Darrell adds his talent to a band that is sure to take the Bluegrass music industry by storm.

County Line has already developed a following of devoted fans who won't be far behind as they make their way through the festival circuit. Wherever they play they make friends and fans with their exciting style of playing and their genuine love of the music. Don't miss out on what is sure to be some of the best music and entertainment available today.
